Curried Chickpeas

Curried chick peas
Ingredients:
1 can chickpeas or garbanzo beans
2 Dried chillies - split in half
1 tsp Thali spices (made up of mustard seeds, cumin, dhal)
1 onion sliced thinly
1 tbsp Meat curry powder
1/2 cup coconut milk or cow's milk
Salt to taste

Method:
When using canned beans, you may find a soapy substance. Wash chickpeas well and drain. In a saucepan, heat oil and saute onions, chillies and spices till aromatic. Add meat curry powder and milk and mix well. Add chickpeas and salt. Leave to simmer till thickened.

Note: Makes a pretty darn good alternative filling for curry puff or rolled up in a chapati (pita bread).

Looks tasty! I have made curried chickpeas before, and loved the result! I'm totally trying out your recipe, too, as well as your tuna curry. Yum!
